The Curse Reversed

📍DID YOU KNOW that today is the day in the history of creation when Noah’s Ark came to rest upon Mt. Ararat after the flood?

📜Genesis 8:1-5 says,

“But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and He sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.

Now the springs of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens had been closed, and the rain had stopped falling from the sky. The water receded steadily from the earth.

At the end of the hundred and fifty days the water had gone down, and on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.

The waters continued to recede until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible.”

📍YES, today is the seventh month and the seventeenth day on the Hebrew calendar! It’s Tishrei 17, 5782.

Why Does It Matter?

1️⃣This day is right in the middle of the Feast of Tabernacles, where God’s people all over the nations are remembering how God delivered His people from the systems and bondage of Egypt and brought them out into the wilderness where He provided for them, prepared them for the promised land, and tabernacled with them in their sukkahs. (See Leviticus 23:42) God is tabernacling with us!

2️⃣In this passage of Scripture in Genesis, the world is overcome and the righteous (the church) seem to be stuck inside. Though it had been really bad outside for many months, this day signaled a new beginning and a great shift in the earth. It was the day when the man Noah (whose name means “rest”, yet had been in extreme unrest for 150 days) felt forgotten and GOD REMEMBERED him and His covenant with him. God was merciful to him and restored the identity attached to dominion “rest” in his life! God is remembering His covenant and re-“membering” His righteous sons!

3️⃣Once the waters had begun to recede, God sent His WIND! The wind of God’s Spirit is now moving upon our nation today, uprooting and cleansing all things!

4️⃣What was to follow this day was the gradual process of deliverance and Noah’s gaining of spiritual intelligence for possessing the land by sending forth his own spies (the raven and the dove) into the region where he was going. The revelation of God’s Spirit is moving upon His people now in the same way to reveal His strategies for moving into the territories we are called to!

5️⃣Mt. Ararat means “the curse reversed”! It wasn’t just the name of the mountain but the whole region where the ark came to rest. God is reversing the curses that have rested upon bloodlines and regions in the earth!!

6️⃣Bob Jones prophesied that the decade of 2020 would reveal the REST of God! We are learning how to rest in The Lord and reflect on where we have been so that we can know where we are going. Sabbath rest is a powerful key for moving forward into God’s promises in this decade. The honor of rest, which God reveals in His own work of creation and the 10 commandments, is a weapon against the spirit of Egypt which continues to enslave men in their cycles of sin and work with no reflection or rest.

And in this rest, the enemy will not be able to do warfare because we are resting in God and He is resting in us, and He will accomplish the things He means to do in a people that is at rest. He has always wanted a people that will come into His rest. There never has been one but rest is on the way.” -Bob Jones

7️⃣The mountains suddenly became visible at their tops. Mountains are the high places in their territory. God is now revealing what has been hidden and is ruling in the highest places in the earth. His holy wind is now shaking at the tops what has been hidden beneath many waters for so long! Don’t be afraid! The future is good!

8️⃣This process of eventually coming out of the ark was gradual, just like the movement from Egypt to the promised land was gradual. We must be in this for the long haul and trust God every step of the way! Don’t give up, keep going, and hold the line!! This nation is moving into God’s promise, one step at a time!

“Looking into Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.” Hebrews 12:2-3
