The Rest of God & The Memory of False Media
There was a concerted effort, during the rebuilding of God’s people and the reestablishment of the covenant of God in their land, to perpetrate fake news and disinformation.
“They sent me this message four times….Then…the fifth time…Then I sent to him saying, “No such things as you say are being done, but you invent them in your own heart. For they were all trying to make us afraid, saying, “Their hands will be weakened in the work, and it will not be done.” Nehemiah 6:4-9, KJV
There was an interesting player in the story of that day, a false prophetess, a force behind the mouth during that time, who we don’t often talk about in Bible circles. Her name was Noadiah.
Her name means “meeting with Jehovah”, or an assembly and appointment in the name of God.
The story doesn’t tell us what exactly she did or how she moved as a false mouth, but she is only mentioned once in all of Scripture and she is specifically named though mysteriously lumped in with other prophets who were trying to make “the comforted” (Nehemiah) leaders afraid.
She was somehow working with those who tried to convince Nehemiah to withdraw from the work of advancement according to the original word of the Lord and to go into “the temple” for his own self-preservation.
She is the contrast in both name and gender of a man we all know quite well. Noah.
Noah’s name means “rest”. We know that Noah was a righteous and just man in his generations and though he had heard a direct word from the Lord, it was a bizarre word in his day and the natural logic of the fact that what God had said to Noah had never been done before, natural optics worked as a frustration of the mind among the sight of carnal men.
We know that Noah was still working with the word of the Lord up until the day the Lord shut him and his family in and he did not stop to analyze the situation at hand or the appearances of the natural atmosphere. He was still creating a place for God’s Presence, an ark of God.
“Faith opened Noah’s (a resting) heart to receive revelation and warnings from God about what was coming, even things that had never been seen. But he stepped OUT in reverent obedience to God and built an ark that would save him and his family. By his faith the world was condemned, but Noah received God’s gift of righteousness that comes by believing.” Hebrews 11:7, TPT
In this hour, humanity is being tested and the question for God’s people becomes,
“Will we believe God and let the faith of God activate a posture of REST in our hearts and minds which will allow clarity and preparedness to flow freely, or will we withdraw into our temples (our inner being with our mind, will, and emotions) and cease to work in agreement with God while we analyze and fear what shall come?
As in the days of Esther, so are we.
The right people are positioned for this hour.
I just pressed through a 40 day window in the Spirit, toward the day Esther was crowned, understanding that God was positioning and reordering all things according to His will, in places unseen in this nation.
Interestingly, the very root of Noah’s name (NUWACH) appears in Esther 9:22, declaring:
“As the days where in the Jews RESTED (nuwach) from their enemies and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy and from mourning into a good day that they should make them days of feasting and joy and of sending portions one to another and gifts to the poor.”
So what does this mean for us?
- There is a choice in this hour which will matter in the near future. We can choose the position of the rest of God or the position of fear and withdrawal from faith. Going to the temple sounds righteous, but not when God said to do something different. God said to stand in agreement and build- to Nehemiah and to Noah and to Esther. We build by agreeing with what has God said in our hearts and confessing it with our mouths and by taking active steps to move forward in our assignments as though His Word is established now.
- As I have recalled in a previous post, the late prophet Bob Jones prophesied that the 2020 decade was the decade of God’s rest. When we look further into Scripture regarding rest, we will discover that this is connected to the Sabbath command of God and as Esther points out the understanding of the cycle of God’s feasts also. These are paramount in this hour.
- There is a month of turning. We keep on moving until it comes.
- The joy of celebrating God’s goodness, sending portions and gifts, and generosity to those in need will be of great importance in days to come.
- Purim comes on the 25th of February, 2021 or Adar 13, 5781 and America shall be saved!
- No one remembers Noadiah. She is rarely talked about. The memory of the distributors of disinformation will dissipate and new media will come forth.
I wrote in 2018, in my book The Unlocking Effect, that “It will be those who refuse to compromise the truth who will rise in media in these reformation days….There will be new and creative ways developed to release truth and the teachings of Jesus through this sphere. Media is and will be the most influential avenue to mold the way a culture thinks. Why do we think other despotic countries limit it’s content and use? More people get their information from the media and entertainment, whereby they develop their beliefs, than any of the other six spheres, including the church. If you are called to minister in the media sphere, now is your time to arise and shine.”
We decree as did Nehemiah in response to such matters, “My God, remember Tobiah (actors who pretend to align with God) and Sanballat (actors in opposition to Christ), according to these their works, and the prophetess Noadiah (actors of fear and lying information) and the rest of the prophets who would have made me afraid.” We decree the mouth of the false is shut down in this nation. We decree honor to the prophets and leaders of God who speak forth the truth, the advancement of God’s kingdom, and the encompassing rest of God. We bind confusion and loose the spirit of knowledge, wisdom, understanding, and counsel that only belongs to the Spirit of God and is given to God’s people through the blood of Christ; that we may know the truth in this hour and be set free. We decree Your Word is true, O God, it is established in the heavens and we stand in faith, wrapped in the armor of God, pulling down the will of God on earth as it is in heaven just as Mary and David did who were able to touch eternal blueprints and to cause things written to be made manifest, even before their supposed time. America shall be saved! Through the blood of Jesus we pray!
